Ginger and Missy Moo Cow

Guess where these two lucky characters are off to this time?
Yes, Ginger is off to Cassidy's house for some fun filled days and I am sure that she will share him with her little sister too. As for Missy Moo Cow she is off to house and I am sure that she too will be having many activites to fill up her days. I can't wait to tune in next time to see what these two girls did with our friends.

Skating

We are off to the rink for another exciting skating trip at the Civic center. We go on Friday, Feb. 8/08 at our regular time from 9 to 9:50. The bus will be leaving the school at 8:40, right after our Mango Walk. A reminder to all to bring a helmet, skates, warm cloths and a pair of mitts. Also everyone is encouraged to come out and join us for a fun time!

Miss Moo Cow and Ginger Return

Taylor had Missy Moo Cow with her back in Old Line Avenue and Shaylah had Ginger way back in South Nelson. They both had a fun time with our class pets and enjoyed their time spent with them.

Shaylah had a ton of fun watching TV, reading and dressing Missy Moo Cow up. Taylor danced the night away with Ginger to the song of Barbie Girl. Poor Ginger's feet are wore out.

Where will Ginger and Missy Moo Cow travel to next?

Breakfast of Champions

Today we had a wonderful breakfast in the cafeteria. We had to try a little bit of everything from all the four food groups. Thanks to all the parents who attended and helped out. Extra special thanks to my mom and Cathy Bushey for all their help as well.

The food the students were served were: oranges, kiwis, cantalope, honeydew melons, apples, banannas and pineapple. Also there were bagels, homemade waffles and toast to choose from from the Grain food group. Finally, they had the choice of apple or orange juice and milk.

Overall, it was a success and I hope at least one person now likes something new for breakfast.

Once again a BIG thank you to all that attended.

Ginger and Missy Moo Cow's Travelling Adventures

Missy Moo Cow and Ginger have been out travelling the Nelson country side for some time now and once I saw on Mrs. Hackett-Harris' blogg that Frances, their class pet, has been reporting about his travels I thought why not Ginger and Missy Moo Cow.

So check back in to see where they have most recently travelled to and what this has taught them. Their next visit will begin tomorrow and their exciting details of their trip will be posted soon.

Water Bottles

One further bit of information that we learned in Phys. Ed class is that there is a proper type of water bottle that should be used. The regular bottle that our water comes in is ok as long as you don't reuse it. Once you start to reuse it the plastic begins to break down into our water and then we start to ingest it as well as our water. We encourage the students to drink lots of water to keep their bodies healthy so they can bring one with them to school. Also this helps to limit the long line ups at the fountains and the time missed from class. Remember that our bodies are made mostly up of water!
